Deda The Original Baby Pa

Well theres not much I can say about Pete Rock that would do justice to convey how great he is, so if you are on this page then I would consider you someone who doesn't have their head in their ass and knows a little about hip hop. Pete Rock is the shit... plain and simple. BUT I don't know what he was thinking with Deda Baby Pa, this fool is wack, im sorry but I cannot stand his flow and he can't rap for crap. Don't get me wrong though its not that bad as I might make it sound cause the Chocolate Boy Wonder makes it definitely worth a few rotations :)

Soul Survivor

Ok so I love Pete Rock but this album is a little different. I feel that he was getting a little too experimental like how RZA's dumbass tried to get all experimental after Cuban Linx and Liquid Swords. Soul Survivor gets a little too funky at times but the guest spots are dope with O.C., Methodman, Raekwon and Ghostface Killa to name a few. There are some dope tracks fer sure.

tracklist:

1 Soul Survivor Intro
2 Tru Master Featuring - Inspectah Deck , Kurupt
3 Half Man Half Amazin Featuring - Method Man
4 Respect Mine Featuring - O.C.
5 Tha Game Featuring - Ghostface Killah , Prodigy , Raekwon

Surviving Elements: From Soul Survivor II Sessions

A lot of people "claim" they like hip-hop but don't know who Pete Rock is. It's really sad how dumb people are getting with all this MTV bullshit, the radio, and the club scene vibes. It's fresh.

Wow. lmao at other rappers. These fools are beasts! Copyrite and Tage Prototype just drop lyrical bombs. The production is held by RJD2 with his rock/funkish vibe of which is ok but im not much into it but it carries well with the whole feel of the album. In your face Lil Wayne.

IMO Resurrection was his best work. Some would argue but it was released in the best year for hip hop in '94 so how can you argue that? It's damn fresh and I havent given it a spin in awhile so thats something that needs to change rather quickly...

Awareness

Well I don't know what this is honestly. Some mix tape I found. These cats are from Florida where I personally have found some talented groups and artists. Track number one just kills it for me when it starts. If my car player is on loud and if its in there and the car starts its really annoying and I always felt like throwing it out the window. But a few cool tracks have saved me from doing so.

Tracklist:

1 Shootoutz(intro)
2 Uptown On The 4 Train
