Lord Finesse

The Awakening

This is my favorite Lord Finesse (D.I.T.C) release from '96. His style of both on the mic and behind the boards is sick. Although my only problem is that there are too many filler tracks of just plain bullshit that it gets annoying and my skip feature comes in handy. BUT its still fresh as ****

Tracklist

1 "Da Sermon (Intro)" Lord Finesse *Interlude*

3 "True & Livin'"
4 "O' Lord"

O.C.

Jewelz

This album and Word...Life get tons of rotation. O.C. brings a sick flow, dope production with the likes of DJ Premier, Ogee, Buckwild, Da Beatminerz, Showbiz, and Lord Finesse! WOW! In addition to Big L as a guest appearance (RIP), which just makes this album even better! My favorite track has probably got to be the Buckwild joint Cant Go Wrong or Stronjay. Although many would go for the Primo tracks but not me sorry :)

Black Moon

Enta Da Stage

I love Da Beatminerz mayne they are sick with the grittyness and the horns n shit. But Buckshot and 5ft. bring mediocore rhymes and lyrical content, its rather lacking imo, Im not much into shit about guns and killing people and knocking peoples heads off or doing driveby's on my skateboard mayne I mean come on we should all be smarter than that by now given that the human race can achieve such brilliant things right? But nonetheless its a classic debut from Black Moon in '93

Deda The Original Baby Pa

Well theres not much I can say about Pete Rock that would do justice to convey how great he is, so if you are on this page then I would consider you someone who doesn't have their head in their ass and knows a little about hip hop. Pete Rock is the shit... plain and simple. BUT I don't know what he was thinking with Deda Baby Pa, this fool is wack, im sorry but I cannot stand his flow and he can't rap for crap. Don't get me wrong though its not that bad as I might make it sound cause the Chocolate Boy Wonder makes it definitely worth a few rotations :)

Soul Survivor

Ok so I love Pete Rock but this album is a little different. I feel that he was getting a little too experimental like how RZA's dumbass tried to get all experimental after Cuban Linx and Liquid Swords. Soul Survivor gets a little too funky at times but the guest spots are dope with O.C., Methodman, Raekwon and Ghostface Killa to name a few. There are some dope tracks fer sure.

Awareness

Well I don't know what this is honestly. Some mix tape I found. These cats are from Florida where I personally have found some talented groups and artists. Track number one just kills it for me when it starts. If my car player is on loud and if its in there and the car starts its really annoying and I always felt like throwing it out the window. But a few cool tracks have saved me from doing so.
