Mic Geronimo's '95 album The Natural was his first release which dropped on Blunt Records. This is the only album from him that I was feelin. This album's guest spots and producers are what make this album worth a listen for sure and to add to the collection as well. The producers showcased on The Natural are Da Beatminerz and Buckwild. As for the guest spots O.C., Royal Flush, DMX, Ja Rule, and Jay-Z can be found. This is where Jay-Z is best I've heard from him, everything else is whack, but thats my opinion. Men Vs. Enigma

Keith Murray's follow up to The Most Beautifullest Thing... was a good one. Released in '96 on Jive records. Now the majority of the album was produced by Erick Sermon, but a few tracks are produced by the Ummah, which for me is bad. I love Erick Sermon, and for all of my two readers, ya know my steez. When Erick Sermon is on the track its fuckin magical, then you hear some different shit and its all crap to me. For example the first few track are straight fire up until you hit Dangerous Ground, which completely throws you for a loop, it just does not fit. Enigma is a great follow up tohis '94 release, which I find hard, the only other artist I can think of that pulled it off besides Def Squad cats was O.C., and Pete Rock, there are probably more out there but the fact is that its tough to pull of. I find the "Most Beautifulest" to be his best work, some may argue, we all have our tastes but that first album is sick to the bone.

Erick Sermon

Double or Nothing

If you have not noticed Erick Sermon is my shit, well early def squad. Double or Nothing is Sermon's second solo effort after his first go around with EPMD. He then ventured off into a solo effort and IMO was a great move. Double or Nothing, released in '95 is my favorite release from the Green Eyed Bandit. Again you get that hard hitting murky shit but it may not be that hard hitting murk going on but its what I like to call hard hitting funk murk cosmic SLOP ish haha. Its reminiscent of Redman's Darkside. Lyrically its a step up from No Pressure with guest appearances from Redman, Keith Murray, & Redman's sister Roslyn Noble. siiiiiiickkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

Erick Sermon

No Pressure

Erick Sermons solo "No Pressure" was released a year after Redmans '92 album so It has that hard hitting murky funk shit which is so dope. Lyrically Sermon is decent, there are some tracks where he has some dope & witty lines, but for the most part its nothing that will blow you outta the water, but, it does go quite nicely with his own production. There are a few tracks featuring Keith Murray which Murray drops some ill lines as expected in early 90's ish. Also LOD of the Def Squad as well as Redman make guest appearances, DOPE.

Jamal's Last Chance, No Breaks is his first solo release and as far as a know his only solo release. The album is produced by Easy Mo Bee on the first track Live Illegal, also Eric Sermon, Redman & Rockwilder, Mike Dean, and Erotic D. Hard to pick a favorite here but I like Insane Creation which to my surprise is produced buy Easy Mo Bee and NOT Erick Sermon :/. Also Live Illegal, Fades Em All & Keep It Real are sick joints. They are all fresh but I could do without Da Come Up. Released in '95 on Rowdy Records.

Tracklisting

1. Live Illegal (prod. by Easy Mo Bee)
2. Keep It Live (prod. by PME)
3. Situation (prod. by Erick Sermon)

Redman

Muddy Waters

Muddy Waters is Red's third release which dropped in 1996. This is a classic album with a guest appearance by Method Man and again production held by Eric Sermon of EPMD. There's some classic joints on here and the skits are pretty funny too. Dare Iz A Darkside is my personal fav tho.

Redman

Dare Iz A Darkside

Redman's sophomore release was a good one and IMO better than his first. Whut? Thee Album had a very upbeat funk vibe going on which is way too much for me yet it maintains a raw and grittiness that I do like, but it is still a good release no doubt. For Darkside I like how dark and murky it is, production handled mostly by Redman himself along with Eric Sermon as well. The beats do somewhat sound the same BUT there is a reason for it. Prepare to take a journey through the psychotic mind of Redman... This would NEVER make no top chart shit. Strictly for the heads. I'm proud to own this masterpiece and you should give it a listen and cop it too. peace.

Chronicle of Two Losers

When I dig for some hip hop my general rule is to stay away from albums that have more then 13-15 tracks cause I feel the more tracks then less quality rite? So I have come across this album countless times and would pass it up, probably due to the doods on the cover that are so close they could kiss you. I had recently gave it a listen and god damn am I angry at myself, this album is so chill, just pop it in while your cruisin at night, its damn fresh. Released in '95.

Lord Finesse

The Awakening

This is my favorite Lord Finesse (D.I.T.C) release from '96. His style of both on the mic and behind the boards is sick. Although my only problem is that there are too many filler tracks of just plain bullshit that it gets annoying and my skip feature comes in handy. BUT its still fresh as ****

Tracklist

1 "Da Sermon (Intro)" Lord Finesse *Interlude*

Black Moon

Enta Da Stage

I love Da Beatminerz mayne they are sick with the grittyness and the horns n shit. But Buckshot and 5ft. bring mediocore rhymes and lyrical content, its rather lacking imo, Im not much into shit about guns and killing people and knocking peoples heads off or doing driveby's on my skateboard mayne I mean come on we should all be smarter than that by now given that the human race can achieve such brilliant things right? But nonetheless its a classic debut from Black Moon in '93

Deda The Original Baby Pa

Well theres not much I can say about Pete Rock that would do justice to convey how great he is, so if you are on this page then I would consider you someone who doesn't have their head in their ass and knows a little about hip hop. Pete Rock is the shit... plain and simple. BUT I don't know what he was thinking with Deda Baby Pa, this fool is wack, im sorry but I cannot stand his flow and he can't rap for crap. Don't get me wrong though its not that bad as I might make it sound cause the Chocolate Boy Wonder makes it definitely worth a few rotations :)

Soul Survivor

Ok so I love Pete Rock but this album is a little different. I feel that he was getting a little too experimental like how RZA's dumbass tried to get all experimental after Cuban Linx and Liquid Swords.
